Innovative Educational Catalyst

With a rich background spanning public speaking, training, project management, and conference organisation, my path from directing part-time university master programmes for adult professionals and lecturing on EU law to becoming a skilled pedagogue and instructional designer applying in practice innovative solutions in blended and hybrid learning has equipped me with a comprehensive skill set. This versatility is rooted in crafting meaningful educational experiences and extends beyond EU law, enhancing various sectors. My focus lies in demystifying complex concepts and turning challenges into avenues for development. I'm dedicated not merely to teaching but to sparking change and nurturing organisations’ success across different fields.

Adapting Education in Crisis

In 2020, as the world grappled with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the master's programme I was passionately leading faced unprecedented challenges. With over 20 dedicated students, many of whom were on scholarships from Luxembourg's Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, and a curriculum that boasted four enriching academic weekends scheduled to take place in Luxembourg every semester, we were at a crossroads.

As borders closed and the world went into lockdown, the prospect of continuing our programme as planned seemed daunting. Yet, the thought of cancelling or postponing was unthinkable. The stakes were high—not just for the students, who had invested their money and hopes in their education, but also for our sponsors, the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, and our esteemed academic partners at L'Université de Lorraine.

Fuelled by a relentless commitment to our students and partners, I refused to let them down. With little time to spare, I embarked on a whirlwind mission to transform our in-person sessions into a well-crafted series of webinars. We revamped our learning management system with a sense of urgency and innovation, ensuring that every student could continue their education without disruption.

This rapid pivot to online learning was more than just a logistical feat; it was a significant cultural leap for the organisation and everyone involved. At a time when online seminars were a novelty rather than the norm, we were trailblazing a new path forward.

Through this journey, my dedication to the continuity of the programme and the well-being and aspirations of our students, academic partners, and sponsors shone brightly. It was a testament to the power of community, resilience, and the unwavering belief that education must go on, no matter the obstacles.

  • EU law training

    I adeptly simplify complex EU law into accessible training, favouring seminars and workshops while also leveraging extensive experience in webinars and blended learning formats. This multifaceted approach ensures comprehensive understanding and measurable impact, catering to diverse learning preferences and environments.

  • Technical Assistance

    With over a decade of experience, I've led projects focused on enhancing the capacities of public administration and supporting judicial reforms, funded by Luxembourg's Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs. These projects spanned Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Turkey. I'm also open to assignments in Ukraine and Moldova.

  • Advisory on policy design

    At any stage of the policy cycle, I provide constructive input, from defining objectives to evaluating regulatory options, their impact, and ex-post assessments. Additionally, I assist national administrations in ensuring compliance through EU law compliance analysis.

  • EU law compliance

    I specialise in guiding businesses through EU law compliance. Working alongside in-house counsels and independent solicitors, we develop a deep understanding of EU norms and compliance best practices. Our collaborative efforts are aimed at enhancing institutional capabilities and establishing effective procedural workflows, thus preventing legal violations and minimising sanction risks.

Switching from in-person sessions to online webinars and back! It requires vision to blend these elements seamlessly and expertise to implement them effectively. My approach is designed to enhance learning outcomes, supporting individuals to thrive in both virtual and physical settings, and equipping them with the skills for today's diverse educational demands.

Evaluation of training

To assess if training objectives are met, a comprehensive evaluation is essential. Merely distributing a 'was it good?' type of feedback form post-training often falls short of capturing the full impact. A robust evaluation framework is required to truly gauge effectiveness and inform future improvements.

Managing projects from a 1-hour online Q&A to a 2-year master programme, I emphasise efficient team organisation towards clear goals. Success hinges on cohesive project management, ensuring every initiative, short or long-term, achieves its objectives with precision and excellence.
